Bluebirds swoop for Quinn

3rd July 2009

Cardiff chairman Peter Ridsdale has confirmed the Welsh club have agreed a fee with Motherwell for full-back Paul Quinn.

The 23-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to the Cardiff City Stadium and now looks set to follow in the footsteps of fellow defenders Mark Hudson and Anthony Gerrard, who have both signed deals with the Coca-Cola Championship club.

Quinn has risen through the youth ranks at the Clydesdale Bank Premier League side but now looks set for a move south of the border, with the fee agreed believed to be in the region of £300,000.

Ridsdale told the Daily Record: "The situation is we have agreed a fee with Motherwell and we expect the lad down to discuss personal terms in the next 24 hours."
