Murphy understands Keane`s frustrations

11th March 2010

Ipswich forward Daryl Murphy has backed manager Roy Keane for getting frustrated with the team this season.

Murphy scored twice in a 2-0 win over Cardiff on Tuesday night to give Town a much-needed win but admitted the lack of consistency in their performances this season has riled Keane.

He said: "I can understand why the manager is frustrated and why he has been mad with us. He's watching games that we're playing in and dominating, creating loads of chances and not putting the ball away.

"Then other times we're turning up and producing terrible displays. I can understand where the manager is coming from.

"But I thought Tuesday night was a great team performance. We had a good shape and good balance about us and passed the ball around quite well."
