Fleetwood likely to return

4th December 2008

Stuart Fleetwood is likely to return to Charlton when his loan spell with Brighton comes to an end this weekend.

Fleetwood's initial one-month deal expires after Saturday's trip to Oldham and although Seagulls manager Micky Adams wants to extend his stay, the striker is keen on returning to The Valley with caretaker boss Phil Parkinson now in charge following Alan Pardew's departure.

"Charlton have just lost their manager and there's a new man in place who rated him very highly," said Adams.

"We will sit down with Stuart but he will need to decide what is best for him. I can't blame him in that situation because once a manager loses his job everyone is back in the melting pot."
