Malky keen on duo

7th May 2010

Watford boss Malky Mackay would like to re-sign Henri Lansbury and Heidar Helguson next season.

Arsenal loanee Lansbury made 39 appearances for the Hornets this season, while QPR striker Helguson returned for another spell at the club, where he had previously made over 150 appearances.

Mackay told the Watford Observer: If we can get him (Lansbury) back then I think it will be good for him, good for Arsenal and good for us."

The Hornets face a tougher task if they are to sign Helguson on a permanent basis, with wages likely to be a problem and Mackay added: "He has another year left at a football club which has another set of management and another set of directors involved.

"That is going to be a trickier situation [than Lansbury's] and obviously at a different end of the pay scale as well. It is something that is going to have to be talked about between Heidar and QPR."
